Amazing experience of a gourmet authentic traditional Canadian food. A must visit place. The historical building is partially renovated, with most of it dating back to 1675.
We had our Christmas dinner here yesterday & it was such a great experience! The atmosphere is so cozy & comfortable & our wonderful waiter Sam made us feel so welcome. The food is traditional & so delicious! We ordered "Grandma's Treat" which had meatballs, vegetables & the most delicious meat pie. I highly recommend if you're in the area & looking to scratch that home-cooking itch!
We had an amazing 3 course dinner! Servings we very generous in size, & very delicious.
Early Dec2024 When in the historical city of Quebec one would also need to try out its historical & local cuisine set within one of its equally historical structures. The food consists of French Canadian fare with some mains dealing with game dishes while others lean to French classical type of offerings. The servers will be able to assist you in any inquiries if needed. The place is much like a homestead or village house full of visual displays, with the feel of part inn & part museum. Expect cozy bit tight surroundings. Truly an experience in itself. Ideal for small groups & couples.
Very nice place & I love the atmosphere here. The history of this place is very nice & all the foods are very authentic.
We took the set lunch . The onion soup is too salty, we asked to add some hot water. The fries is overfried. The sauce with the pork tenderloin is too strong. The meat is too tough.
As everyone else has said- the lunch deal was amazing (the fact that it includes a beer is even better). The food was fantastic & we tried meals & flavors we've never had before. Highly recommend!
Food is not bad. Was expecting more for what I paid. The waitress can be a little rude.
