It was an interesting restaurant, & we popped in to be taken to quaint styled interiors. Staff are friendly & attentive. Food arrived on time & delicious. Escargot was nice but a bit overcooked for me. The open meat pie was nicely done & balanced. My partner's Bison pie was interesting. The poutine was nice & the wine was decent. The pudding, Maple syrup pie tasted great, & so was my partner's Apple pie. We chose the set menu, & it was fairly priced. Overall, the experience was good apart from a little indigestion I experienced after.

Value for money!!! Spending around CAD50 then you could have a set of French meal including a glass of house wine. Many choices for customers. The appetizer I chose-Wild Meat Cretons was full of meat, pork if I didn't remember wrongly. I liked the taste but couldn't have too much; then the accompanying sauce & the side dish(I guessed it was something like pickles) did a nice touch-lightened the grease. About the main dish, it was interesting! The puff pastry wrapped with salmon so it was crispy outside & soft inside. Nice together & seasoning. The sauerkraut also made the whole dish not too greasy. As for the dessert, I was not a fan of it since it was too sweet🤣 Anyway, I really enjoyed my food & the atmosphere here.

Les plats étaient plutôt bon & bien assaisonné mais c'était vraiment de la cuisine simple & plutôt décevant au vu du prix. Le serveur annonce quand même des portions copieuse mais encore une fois déçu en voyant les plats arriver. L'ambiance est vraiment morose, se veut peut-être un peu classe mais sans saveur. La formule lunch est sûrement plus intéressante le midi. En résumé, venez le midi & entre amis si vous voulez un bon moment sinon aucun intérêt.

For a small meat pie is $17 but tasty & love the fruit ketchup It didn't pork smell so it was nice The second floor is a bit damp smell

I received information from a tour that the building is one oldest in old Quebec. I just had to go in & give the place a try. The place is small with low ceiling but it is very charming. I got the lunch special just a little over $45CAD before taxes. If you're looking for a traditional meal (recommended by the staff) then I highly recommend you give this place a try 👍
