We really love the location of this little hotel the street is lined with delicious restaurants & cafes & a close walk to the plains of Abraham . If you're active you would love the walk to the city however it is a bit far . The food in the cafe Korea was delicious we had it for breakfast although it was not included in our hotel stay. The hotel room was nice however the bed sheets were pretty gross & need to be deeply cleaned . The dirty quilt was lined by two thin sheets & was pretty unpleasant to sleep in. Everything else was quite clean the bathroom was nice & clean & the main areas were clean & there is a shared mini fridge which was nice for our food especially when traveling with a kid.

My daughter & I always enjoy a'mother-daughter' date at the Krieghoff every time we visit our families in Québec City.
I used to go there from time to time when I was a young adult many years ago!
The place has retained its charm & ambiance!
I love the art for sale paintings placed under a glass cover at each table!
I particularly enjoy the garden salad & the'frites allumettes'!
The staff is always very professional & courteous!
The Café Krieghoff will see me & my daughter again many times!

Je fréquente ce café depuis plus de 20 ans & ce n'est plus ce que c'était. L'assiette déjeuner était décevante, & j'ai aussi vu la déception dans le regard de la personne à côté lorsque son assiette est arrivée. Le seul point positif de cet endroit est son emplacement.

Had brunch; we didn't stay at the hotel. It's obvious why the cafe is so popular. The vibe is great, the location superb, & the people watching is cool! Decent food, excellent coffee, & the lady servers are the best people ever.

Be ready for slow service but they are working very hard because it is so busy.

It is quite expensive for certain things - iced coffees for $7.25 is steep, but the coffee was very good.

This is a great place to stay, the location is perfect. It's a short walk to downtown Quebec City & the local parks. Plenty to do & see in the area. The cafe itself is wonderful too & serves a great French onion soup. Some rooms have separate bathrooms so be sure to check that when booking. The water pressure in the shower definitely needs improvement & the AC in the room didn't work one night. Other than that the place was great! Its location & the cafe are the real selling points. There's also a good parking garage right down the street.

Stumbled into Café Krieghoff last Saturday with a few friends after wandering around Cartier Avenue, & honestly it felt like we found a little neighborhood gem. The terrace out front was buzzing with locals soaking up the afternoon sun, which set such a relaxed, unhurried vibe right away. I ordered the eggs Benedict & they were genuinely some of the best I've had, perfectly poached with a rich, buttery hollandaise that I'm still thinking about. The staff were warm & attentive without being overbearing, & the whole place just has this effortless charm that makes you want to linger over a second coffee.

Nous avons déjeuné. C'était bon, mais tellement cher & petite quantité, à peine une petite poignée de patates... Service très lent. Avec le déjeuner, on a droit à un allongé (valeur de 5$ sur le menu). J'ai voulu prendre un cafe con leche (valeur de 5,75$ sur le menu). J'ai validé avec la serveuse avant de commandé qu'on me chargerait uniquement la différence.
Sur la facture, on me chargeait 2,95$... C'est beaucoup plus que la différence. J'ai essayé d'expliquer à la serveuse que ça ne faisait pas de sens, mais elle ne semblait pas vouloir comprendre. Ce resto est bien joli, mais c'est vraiment un attrape-touriste ! Nous habitons le quartier & nous n'y retournerons pas.

Had the duck poutine & French onion soup at the cafe & they were both great, especially the soup! Great service, cozy atmosphere, & cool artwork for sale as the table toppers.
