I brought our house guests (friends visiting us from New Jersey, Los Angeles & Kingston, Ontario) who are world travellers & who have a deserved reputation of being serious & picky'foodies', to dinner at Chez Trouchon on Tuesday evening. They very much enjoyed their meals with special mention going to the Onion Soup & the Vegetarian Plate with Mushrooms, with one of the group saying it was the best onion soup she had ever tasted, & that she would return just to enjoy the soup & the mushroom dish again even though she was not a vegetarian. Making our dining experience all the more pleasureable was the fact that we were served by an experienced waitress who recognized us immediately as being former patrons of the now closed Vices Versa Restaurant. She was the perfect person to have with us & she took care of us in a manner that we have come to expect at Chez Trouchon.
