Super restaurant haut de gamme. La terrasse est parfaite si l'on veut profiter de la nature, du bruit de la chute & de la rivière. Concernant le service, nous avons été bien conseillé par le sommelier & la carte des vins était très variée. Les cocktails aussi étaient bons. J'ai apprécié la petite attention (bougie pour un anniversaire). De plus le staff était très accommodant. La nourriture était très bonne même si ce que nous voulions n'était pas disponible sur la carte cette journée là, on s'est quand même régalé. On a testé la viande de phoque, un régal ! Si vous cherchez un endroit spécial pour déguster une cuisine spéciale dans un cadre spécial : c'est la place!

The food was ok, but not great. The walleye appetizer, for instance, was nearly flavorless & desperately needed something, even just salt. The taste of none of the dishes matched the elegant presentation. The most disappointing thing was the service. We were seated outside the dining room, in an area that felt like a porch. There was only one other table of guests there. We asked, on a cool, rainy night, to be moved into the warm dining room where there's a fire & open tables, but we were told the server there had two many tables already. Our server was quite inattentive: we had to ask for forks to eat the main course & numerous breadcrumbs were left on the table throughout the dinner service. The one highlight was the kind, informative sommelier. The bottom line: if you're staying in Quebec, La Traite is not worth a visit.

Très bon plats pour le prix, très bonne utilisation des ingrédients locaux & de la cuisine wendat. Également une perle rare pour un restaurant d'hôtel au niveau du menu. Service souriant & informatif. Cadre chaleureux & chic. Une expérience unique que je recommande fortement.

Carpacio de loup marin 👌 Médaillon de cerf boileau, exquis, cuisson parfaite. Le plus impressionnant malgré cela, le pain 🤯 le meilleur pain que j'ai mangé ! Un vrai coup de coeur cet endroit. J'y reviendrai assurément!

After being given the menus, we waited for a very long time to get serviced. Honestly I was about to walk out, we waited for at least 30-45 minutes before making an order. But now that the negatives are out of the way. The waitress was very helpful & friendly. The menus were good, not a crazy amount of availability but just enough. The food was great, near amazing. Overall great experience, if it wasn't for the long wait at the beginning, it would have been a 5/5 even though the price may not be accessible to everyone.
