Le Lapin Sauté was highly recommended to us & they didn't disappoint. We were met with smiles & attended to almost immediately. Our dishes were exquisite & compliments were expressed to the Chefs. Needless to say, we will return.

La sauce de diable a dominé le plat de lapin. (imo the sauce was a bit overwhelming & overpowered the rabbit meat. I would have liked an emphasis more on the umami flavors of the rabbit meat). Rabbit meat texture resembles surprisingly similar to chicken too. The leek soup was good. Also, they told us dogs weren't allowed (even on the terrace). But I saw 2 dogs in the terrace that were allowed. So I wonder how they decide their dog policy.

I don't even know where to begin. At first I was worried this would be a tourist trap, as its location is in the heart of Old Quebec City. I am so happy I was wrong. This restaurant definitely tops as one of the best restaurants I've eaten at. We started with the French onion soup & salad. For dinner we ordered the steak frites & salmon dish. For dessert we ordered the honey pie & another.
The best French onion soup we've ever had. I would go back time & time again just to order it! The starter salad was simple but perfect. I often am disappointed with salmon dishes ordered at restaurants, however, their salmon dish is so dimensional in flavors & textures - exactly what I look for in a dish. The steak frites were also dimensional in flavor, however, it did unfortunately come out chewy.
The honey pie took my husband & I by surprise & we will continue to rave about how tremendous it was. We both went home on a high from how great our dinner was that night.
The staff was also great - attentive at just the right amount. They were also very accommodating about allowing us to bring our baby stroller to our table when our baby got tired & fussy.
Cannot wait to return back the next time we're in town!
