TRULY unique experience! We did the tasting menu & I'm so glad we did. André was fabulous & guided us thru an immersive experience. I will think about the trout dish forever. Everything is locally sourced & the ambiance is very romantic/moody.

This was my first time going to a Michelin-star restaurant, & Légende set the bar impossibly high.
From the moment we arrived, the service was stellar. At no point did I feel out of place or'second class.' Fine dining has its own etiquette &, admittedly, there is a learning curve, but the staff guided us effortlessly. They hinted at what was customary with warmth & subtlety, never making me feel small or uncomfortable. That kind of hospitality is rare, & they absolutely nailed it. The service wasn't just attentive; it was an essential part of the experience, just as memorable as the food itself.
I chose the tasting menu with the Légende wine pairing, & it was a journey from start to finish.
Every dish & edible was thoughtfully prepared & deeply conceptualized. The menu is rooted entirely in ingredients found within the region, celebrating Canada's land, water, & seasons in a way that feels both respectful & daring. Each element had a purpose. Nothing felt ornamental or excessive; yet, somehow every plate felt grander than the sum of its parts.
We had six courses, each one centered around a Canadian ingredient. The creativity involved was astonishing, transforming familiar elements into something unexpected & refined. I won't spoil the experience by naming specific dishes, you truly have to visit & discover it for yourself, but each course built on the last, telling a story of place, tradition, & innovation.
The wine pairing elevated everything even further. Each selection felt intentional & perfectly timed, enhancing flavors I didn't even realize were there until the pairing unlocked them.
Légende isn't just a meal; it's an immersive experience. It's thoughtful, grounded, & quietly confident in what it's doing. I walked away not just impressed, but genuinely moved & that's something I never expected to say about a dinner.
As a Montréalaise, it's easy to forget just how magical Québec City can be until you return. Stepping away from home & into Québec's capital feels like rediscovering the province's charm & its extraordinary culinary scene through fresh eyes.
Dinner at La Légende was nothing short of enchanting. From the moment you step inside, the cozy, intimate atmosphere wraps around you-warm, inviting, & effortlessly refined. The service is impeccable: attentive, knowledgeable, & delivered with genuine care.
Invited to dinner by colleagues, I had no expectations-only to be completely blown away. The tasting menu unfolds like a carefully composed symphony, each course building on the last. Thoughtfully sourced local ingredients take center stage, transformed with restraint & imagination. Flavours merge seamlessly, layered & balanced with precision, creating something deeply sensual & memorable on the palate.
The wine pairings were beautiful & thoughtfully curated, elevating each dish without overpowering it. & then, the finale: a porto-like sweet wine that lingered long after the last sip, leaving me in a state of pure bliss.
The dessert sealed it-refined, precise, & quietly spectacular, carrying the unmistakable confidence of a Michelin-starred kitchen. A final note that confirmed what the entire evening had already promised.

Every time I'm in Quebec City, I have to eat here. Their tasting menu is absolutely fantastic, & it's easy to see why they earned a Michelin star. They take simple ingredients & somehow elevate them to something truly extraordinary. I normally dislike Brussels sprouts, but they prepared them in a way that even I could enjoy-seriously impressive! Hats off to the chefs-this restaurant is amazing & more than deserving of its star. A must-visit for anyone who loves fine dining done right!
This creative menu/tasting menu is absolutely divine. Everything about it was so amazing, perfectly paired, & I loved the addition of the introduction of the raw ingredients in the container to show you from the start to the finish on the dish.
I also had the non-acoholic pairings & the cocktails were mind-blowing!
Fun Fact - they will be going into renovations starting at the end of February 2026, expanding the kitchen to allow for more of an open concept. This menu will be up now (Jan 2026) until they close for renovations.
We booked a New Year's Day reservation at the end of November & ordered the tasting menu, which was fantastic. There were 6-7 small plates with a variety of fish, meat, pasta & vegetables & everything we had was incredible. There was also an option to add fresh oysters beforehand, which were absolutely delicious. It was truly an exceptional experience from start to finish, with excellent service, incredible food, & a romantic atmosphere. When we return to Quebec, we will definitely be back!
My husband & I really enjoyed the tasting menu & wine pairing at Legende. We visited in December 2025 & would recommend it. Every dish was beautiful & delicious, & the service was great. The reservation took about 3 hours, which is not a knock on the service at all, just noting it because it was longer than I anticipated.
Really cool tasting menu with strong emphasis on local ingredients & flavours. The cocktails were also incredible. The steak was probably the highlight dish for me. A much different experience compared to the Toronto Michelin spots, which I appreciated.
Had a great time with the tasting menu - it captured my stomach heart 😋 would order 4 out of the 6 course a la carte which is high for tasting menus I've tried. Staff are professional & friendly - thanks to all who served to make this a great experience. One of the staff mentioned that the head chef takes care of his people - that is so refreshing to hear & I think it translates into the food. I thank him for having the'hard' technical & creative skills to birth these delicious dishes, & the'soft' skills to create a sense of community & team among the staff
