Excellent restaurant, incredibly delicious! We had the seafood pasta, & it was absolutely amazing - just like in Italy. The atmosphere & the staff were fantastic, the prices were great, & the location is very convenient. Highly recommend this place!

True italian taste. Reasonable prices. The pastas were amazingly cooked with great ingredients. We had a really cool experience here. We didn't have reservation but the maître d' made it happen. Thank you!!! Definitely coming back.

Started off the evening with very mediocre service, & it only went downhill from there. This was honestly one of the worst Italian meals we've ever had-the food was below par & practically inedible. I didn't know anyone could mess up simple penne all'arrabbiata & minestrone soup, but the pasta was far from al dente & completely flavorless. We ended up having to return our food. I very rarely leave negative reviews, but this place called for it.

Had a mixed experience here. We had a 6pm reservation & didn't end up getting our mains until almost 7:45, which felt long.

Our appetizers were delicious. We had the calamari & the suppli & enjoyed both a lot.

The mains didn't go as well. I had the carbonara & this was this first time I've ever had carbonara with onions in it, I would not recommend it. Not a good addition to what is usually such a simple dish. My wife had the mushroom pasta & also felt the onions in the meal were overdone.

All in all not a fantastic experience. Overall more like a 2.5 than a 3.

Fantastic place for dinner.
We were lucky to catch their lobster season. Had their lobster pasta. Fresh pasta in a rose sauce with real chunks of lobster. Sat on their patio in the picturesque alley.
Service was also really personable & knowledgeable.

We had an amazing dinner here! We ordered pizza, pasta, calamari, & the burrata, & every single dish was absolutely delicious. Everything was fresh, flavorful, & beautifully prepared. The atmosphere was warm & welcoming, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. A special thank you to our server, who was incredibly kind & friendly. He even surprised us with complimentary limoncello at the end of our meal, which was such a thoughtful gesture. It made our evening even more memorable. We will definitely come back & highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for authentic Italian food & excellent service! One of the best dining experiences we've had in Quebec City. Thank you for such a wonderful evening!

Great atmosphere & food. The pasta was perfectly made al dente. Our server, Jerome was super attentive & shared hid good welth of knowledge with us about the city. Over all a very pleasant experience it was.

Great wine, amazing lasagna, but check the ingredients! Matto boasts a stellar wine selection & a vibrant atmosphere. Vegetarian warning: the Minestrone soup contains pork. Luckily, the Lasagna is an elite backup choice-the tomato sauce is incredibly rich & flavorful, making a perfect pairing with the complimentary bread. The Crab Rolls were also a massive hit for my husband. Highly recommend for the pasta & wine pairings!

Matto was great. - we shared a pizza - which was perfectly cooked & a pasta which was fresh & yummy. Service was great - friendly professional & timely. Loved this place. Dont skip dessert - the cannelloni was a highlight.
