The salmon tataki was perfectly seared, just the right balance of citrus & heat, exactly how I remember it from my first visit. The staff recognized me at the door & had water on the table before I even sat down, which is a small thing but it means a lot after a while. If you haven't tried it yet, do yourself a favour & get there early on a weekend because the place fills up fast.
Came here last Friday with a few friends after a long week & honestly it was exactly what we needed. The salmon tataki was incredible, super fresh & beautifully plated, the kind of dish you end up talking about on the drive home. Our server was attentive without being overbearing, kept the sake recommendations coming & made the whole evening feel effortless. If you're looking for a solid sushi spot in Quebec City for a relaxed night out, Eddie is absolutely worth it.
The atmosphere was really great. Lights were not too bright nor too dark. The music in the background was loud enough, we were definitely able to hear each other talking.
I ordered the chicken noodle soup, which was delicious, but the only thing was that is wasn't really hot. Could've been warmer. But the taste was pretty good!!
As for the sushis I got the California roll, the salmon Kamikaze ( temaki), i gotta say, the fish there was really fresh. It was melting & was tasteful! I also got the flying fish roe & scallops gunkan which was delicious & big pieces.
As for my last sushi i got soya making with scallops tartare, crab, avocado, cucumber & tempura; the taste was really good, but the only unfortunate thing, is that the sushi cost 19$ for 4 pieces. It is really pricy & in my opinion, it is way too expensive.
Otherwise than this, the whole experience was really great! I do recommend this place!! 😀
Best sushi in Quebec city so far. Most places don't compare on the food freshness & taste. They have more than the cheap hot hakutsuru sake available. All the food is good for all type of budget. scallop trio is a must as well as the salmon with grilled skin.
I did takeout for my birthday & it was also superb. This is my go to place to splurge on the best sushi (but their bento style meal is also very good)
