The Sagamité opened its doors in 1999, and people from all over the world have been invited to discover Indigenous culture through gastronomy ever since. This place is named after the meal that has nourished the nation for centuries: the sagamité soup, which consists of corn, squash and beans. The restaurant is located in downtown Wendake.
The Saga Nomade Food Truck can be found all around Québec City and is also available for private events. Our specialties include our Signature poutine and our Elk burger. This is street food with an indigenous twist!

The best dining experience in Wendake! From the moment we arrived, our server Robert warmly welcomed us & went above & beyond to ensure we were well taken care of. After learning about our dietary preferences, he thoughtfully suggested meal options & even recommended a white wine to complement our choices.
We started with the Smoking Pipe appetizer-melted Calumet cheese that practically melted in our mouths. We were thrilled to learn that both the Walleye & Char were locally sourced. The Walleye fillet was cooked to perfection, topped with a delightful chutney of cranberry, corn, tomato, ginger, & roasted almonds, served on a bed of wild rice with hearty vegetables on the side. The Char, served on a bed of corn chips like nachos, was complemented with sour cream, corn, & cheese, an unexpected & delicious twist.
But the highlight of our experience was the beautiful surprise we got for a birthday. Robert & his colleague serenaded us with song & drum, while presenting our dessert-maple pie with a lit candle. It was an unforgettable touch.
As we left, we took a moment to explore the restaurant, admiring the space & displaying handicrafts, reflecting on the truly wonderful experience we had.

Ce lieu est magique, lumineux, inspiré & inspirant. La nourriture est bonne & propose quelques belles aventures. Un incontournable de Wendake & de la région de Québec!

While visiting Quebec City on a culinary tour, we went to Sagamite for dinner in a Wednesday night. This place is a 10/10. Best restaurant we ate at in 5 days. Visiting this restaurant is a must as is the Wendake Museum & the Light show! I look forward to returning. Thank you to our lovely waiter who took such great care of us.
Très beau restaurant avec des saveurs qui en valent le prix lorsque vous avez envie de vous gâter! Depuis longtemps, nous voulions essayer un restaurant de Wendake pour en avoir entendu parlé en bien. Alors restant à quelques heures de route, nous avons profité de nos vacances pour y aller. Nous ne sommes pas déçu! Le service assez rapide m'a surprise & les conseils de Robert, le serveur, ont été parfait!

Très beau restaurant à Wendake à l'image de la nation Huronne. Sa reconstruction n'est pas complètement terminée, il reste la terrasse à faire, Repas délicieux. Prix moyen a élevé. Aller voir les chutes Kabir Kouba à côté.
J'ai franchement adoré mon expérience au restaurant Sagamité de Wendake & je compte bien y retourner. Nous étions un groupe de cinq personnes & nous avons reçu un service incroyable de la part de Christian & de l'équipe. La nourriture était excellente du début à la fin. Bref, je vous recommande chaudement ce restaurant!
