We went in today for a brunch, heard a lot of great things about it, & made a reservation a few days prior. The food was wonderful, one of the most interesting in our eight meals in Quebec City. However, the service was not a match with such quality of food. For most of the times I give 15%-20% tips & sometimes 25% for truly exceptional services (not a ton but a normal range). I gave 5% today because of the following reasons: 1. The server who is designated to serve our table only stopped by three times throughout our 70-minute meal: two times at the time of ordering & one at the time of paying the bill. It's understandable if the restaurant is so packed & busy, but 50% of tables were empty at the time we left. Additionally, in contrast, he visited the table next to us much more frequently. For example, we saw him purposely came over to that table after the food the served by a different server & asked if they need anything & wish them bon appetit. 2. We asked for some bread when another waitress delivered the food. She was very nice, but the bread didn't come until the second request. She was very professional & apologized for the delay & brought the bread not soon after. 3. We ordered all food to share. Another waiter who delivered our food was very kind to ask if we would like some plates to share the food. However, the plates never came. 4. We were not happy with the service of the waiter who was supposed to serve us & gave 5%. When we entered the tip amount on the POS machine, he stared at what we entered & sarcastically did we know we only tipped 5% & question us if this is normal. We replied by saying "the food is wonderful but the service was okay". Instead of asking what we are not happy about, he sarcastically said at this point, we should've just not tip. & then he stared at us & said thank you twice very loudly & completely stopped us from sharing why we are not happy with the service. When we were pushing the door to exit, he said once more thank you so loud & clear behind us with a sarcastic tone. So we ended up writing our situation & feelings here. Overall, I would recommend the restaurant if you are looking for great local food. But I would warn those who expect or look for the same quality of service as their food.

The braised beef cheeks are unlike anything I've had in my life. I have no clue how they prepped these but it is HEAVENLY!

Nous avons été bien reçus. Le serveur était attentif & gentil. Il a bien expliqué le menu en donnant ses coups de coeur. Le service a été rapide & on ne s'est pas fait pousser dans le dos. Merci pour la belle soirée!

Restaurant préféré à Québec, je n'ai jamais été déçu. Le personnel est la depuis longtemps & connaisse leur menu & font vraiment des recommandations très utiles & appréciées. Le service est exceptionnel! Allez-y!

Coup de coeur : Carpaccio d'Omble de Chevalier en entrée! J'aurais apprécié mon assiette principale un peu plus chaude. toutefois, nous étions un groupe de 6, cela explique peut-être.

Everything was amazing- especially the French onion soup. I usually don't like them but here- it is perfect. It's not topped with cheese & it doesn't contain big chunks of bread inside like other soups- instead it is served with toasted bread with melted cheese. But this soup is so much richer & deeper in flavor than other places. Will be coming back just for this

Le service était impeccable. Notre serveur a été attentionné & agréable toute la soirée. Il a pris le temps de bien nous conseiller & de s'assurer qu'on passait un bon moment. Très belle carte des vins & que dire des plats! Des entrées aux desserts, tout était délicieux. ❤️

What I was served, the onion soup & the beef cheek was good, the onion soup was fantastic the best I ever tasted. But since I was dining alone & got there at 4:45 for my reservation I expected that I would get the same attention that you would expect, but that wasn't the case. I was left wondering if I was going to see my waiter again & when he did show up again wanted to know if I wanted to order anything else. At that point I said no & asked for the check.
