It's not everyday that food is not only delicious, but also inspiring. Stopped by for sandwiches to-go; they were the best sandwiches we've ever had! Fine dining in a sandwich. More importantly, the owners were super friendly & passionate about their work. The young gentleman told me his & his partner's story of leaving Montreal to come here, to practice being closer to the land, prioritize fresh ingredients, & making impact in the community while respecting its assets & people. It's really idealistic & inspired. Pair that with food that is bar-none quality. Finally, I am Vietnamese & their pho ga broth in the pho-caccia sandwich was on point! The chef even said'pho ga' properly upon handing it to me. Congrats on following your passion & making a difference!

My wife & I had the absolute pleasure of dining at Confit on a slow night, & it was one of the best meals I've ever had. The food was spectacular - such unique flavors & dishes, & the bread with smoked butter was the best I've ever had. What made it even more special was spending the evening with the owners, Alex & Joannie, who made us feel like family & shared so many amazing stories. You can feel their passion for what they do & the dishes they create. We ended up going back the next night just to hang out & get a few small bites. If you're in the Charlevoix area, you would be doing yourself a huge disservice by not visiting Confit.
Where to begin? This was an experience unlike any other. My husband & I wanted to try something unique & special for our 10 year anniversary. Confit did not disappoint. From the moment we arrived we were treated like valued guests. The ambiance was fun & romantic. Every single item within the walls of this restaurant has a story & was selected with appreciation & passion for its maker. From the onions to the chairs to the art on the walls. Alex & Joannie have created an immersive culinary experience into the heart & soul of local farmers & artisans. The level of passion these two have for Confit & its patrons is unrivaled. Of course, the food itself was mind blowing. We had the Spring tasting menu with the wine pairing. Each dish was so carefully crafted & balanced. If I could eat here for all my days, it would still not be enough. Thank you Alex & Joannie for such a memorable experience!

Des saveurs surprenantes & riches qui mettent de l'avant la beauté des produits locaux, des proprios passionnés, une ambiance chaleureuse avec une playlist toujours parfaite, quoi demander de plus?
Je prends rarement le temps de mettre un review google, mais ce restaurant mérite amplement ses 5 étoiles & l'expérience est digne de mention. Tout d'abord, la nourriture est tout simplement excellente & derrière chaque plat se cache un travail énorme de recherche & de collaboration avec les producteurs locaux afin d'offrir des produits d'ici & de saison. Mais encore, les vins & alcools sont soigneusement sélectionnés & tout simplement exquis. Le concept de buvette est différent de ce que l'on retrouve également dans la région & apporte un vent de fraicheur & de nouveauté.
Finalement, mon coup de coeur est définitivement pour les deux passionnés derrière ce concept, Joanie & Alexandre, qui ont su faire preuve d'une convivialité & approche humaine impeccable. Je suis allée seule au restaurant & ils m'ont fait sentir comme chez moi. Leur accueil chaleureux dépasse largement les attentes & rend l'expérience encore plus spéciale.
Bref, si vous hésitiez à essayer ce restaurant, ou que vous êtes de passage dans la région, j'arrêterais de me poser des questions si j'étais vous & FAITES LE DÉTOUR, vous ne serez pas déçus.

Nous sommes venus le midi & avons pris le sandwich pho'ccacia au poulet, &.. wow ! Un mélange de saveurs & de textures très bien équilibré, nous avons adoré !
Le service était rapide, les propriétaires sont chaleureux du début à la fin, avec une passion communicatrice pour la région & ses produits :)
L'ambiance est sûrement tout aussi conviviale le soir grâce à la belle salle à manger, ce sera à essayer !
