Accueille super comme dans beaucoup d'endroit au Québec.
Un menu du midi à 40$ complet avec un verre de vin ou une bière, une entrée, un plat & un dessert.
Les plats sont généreux & fait maison.
Service super ! Je recommande sans hésite
We were recommended Aux Anciens Canadiens by previous visitors to Quebec City & it didn't disappoint. The food & service was excellent. Our server Noemie was fantastic. You couldn't ask for a nicer young lady..My wife & I had Grandmas treat with a pea soup appetizer & crème brûlée for dessert. It was all very good.Definitely will return the next time we're in Quebec City
Some will comment that this is more of a tourist attraction than a restaurant full of local families. While that it is probably true given the location, is is also a great place for delicious traditional Québécois fare. The décor is charming with many antiques & our dinner was delicious. While our dinner was great, dessert was a highlight with maple crème bulee & blueberry pie.
Generous portions, food was edible, but nothing to write home about. There are plenty of restaurants in Quebec that offer outstanding food for these prices. It's ok if you want fill up on big portion of food, basic wine & dessert.
I would 100% recommend this place! We tried the red deer, bison, & elk meat, & it was delicious. We also had the traditional dish poutine, which is fries with gravy & cheese.
As a dessert we had a typical pie with maple syrup which was AMAZING
What really stood out was the kindness & attention of the staff at all times.
If you're visiting Quebec, you shouldn't miss it!
Had our lunch in one of the oldest houses in QC. Traditional Quebecois food was good. Love the Quebec meat pie & the maple syrup pie dessert. The set meal is quite good deal when shared.
Four of us had the lunch special, three courses plus a local beer or wine for 39.99 CAD. Appetizer, main, dessert. Many options available, some with an upcharge, all very good. My vegetarian wife had enough good vegetarian options. Recommended by a guide earlier in the day, even though it wasn't one of our stops.
The pea soup & duck confit were delicious. The portion sizes for the main course & dessert were quite large - a bit too much for my taste, but great if you're really hungry. I also appreciated the availability of non-alcoholic beer options.
My wife Fran & I were visiting Old Quebec City with friends & found this little gem slightly off the main strip. The staff were very friendly & the service was excellent! We enjoyed our meal & wine. The blueberry pie dessert was delicious. You will not be disappointed. I highly recommend this restaurant.
