Super cozy vibe & the staff were really nice. I ordered the Grandma's meat pie since it sounded like a local classic, but I honestly didn't love it-just not my thing. Might give another dish a try next time though!
Absolutely fantastic. Everything was delicious & prepared very well. It was great to choose from the traditional Québécois meals. My husband had Beef Wellington which was his favourite meal of our trip.
The bison bourguignon was the best, then the meat pie. Didn't like the onion soup much though. The service was exceptionally good!
We were in Quebec City for 4 days of vacation. We stayed in the upper old city & we were able to walk to most of the historic sites & good restaurants. We researched this restaurant from home so we went one night without a reservation. The hostess took us to the back room as the front room was all reserved. Back room was also nice. We ordered grilled salmon, escargots, sparkling water & a nice glass of French red wine. The escargots were part of the prefix dinner which I ordered. A dessert came with it. My wife ordered salmon off the menu. Food was delicious & the atmosphere was nice. An enjoyable evening. I recommend it highly.
BTW, the restaurant is a free standing 300 plus year old house.
Had our lunch in one of the oldest houses in QC. Traditional Quebecois food was good. Love the Quebec meat pie & the maple syrup pie dessert. The set meal is quite good deal when shared.
A restaurant in the reputedly oldest house in Quebec - it has charm & atmosphere, it offers a fixed price menu with options. The service is friendly & professional. The food is very good & plentiful. Worth a visit.
