Really cool old cozy restaurant. We stopped for lunch. Had a nice glass of wine & delicious soup & charcuterie plate. A wonderful hidden find!
Delicious introduction to our first night in QC! Tried the smoked meat sandwich, classic poutine, & the red pepper soup. All were warm & comforting as we settled into the cold. Loved the old & historic nature of the cozy pub - & happily enjoyed a glass of wine where it was the first wine bar to serve wine by the glass in the province!
This cozy 10 or so table restaurant will pleasantly surprise you! It's small, it's not the MOST professional atmosphere, the chairs are mismatched at one of the tables. However, did their food ever surprise us, absolutely delicious, especially their delicacies, & the fondue is recommended!
Came during the winter which was so cozy & Such a cool vibe! The music was also incredible. We just came here for drinks which were amazing. The food looked incredible & smelt even better. Will recommend this place to anyone visiting in the future.
The food was delicious. I ordered the La Papale with the recommended cheeses. My partner ordered the lobster roll. We each had a Sidecar drink. I think my dish was the favorite. Great attention to detail, with the chef taking pride in his work. We polished it all off with minimal effort. The lobster roll was flavorful, with chunky lobster bites, & done in what they called a traditional Quebec style. It was a cozy space with plentiful outdoor seating as well. We dined inside due to weather, & were treated to watching the chef prepare our food just behind the counter. It was a fun show, & really helped demonstrate his love for the craft. Needs improvement: the Sidecar left a lot to be desired. Too sweet & unbalanced for what I expect in a Sidecar. I think next time I'd pass on a cocktail, in favor of wine or beer. Definitely a place worth checking out.
