Restaurant offering a great variety of tapas: small bites served as an accompaniment or as a starter, or as a meal (eg: Kara age which is fried chicken, Gyoza (dumplings), etc.).
Authentic Japanese ramen: the only restaurant in Quebec to offer Tonkotsu broth.
Japanese-style cocktails menu specially developed by our Head barman.
It is an ideal place for evenings with friends, colleagues (birthdays or parties).
Chika Ramen Izakaya offers generous portions of ramen and Japanese tapas in a cozy, stylish setting, with standouts like tonkotsu ramen and popular fried items such as takoyaki and karaage. The vibe and value are frequently praised, Sundays are noted as a plus, though service can be slow and occasionally distracted, and some bowls miss freshness or depth of flavor, with mixed reports on authenticity and vegan labeling.
The Awesome: Seated immediately, close to Le Concord hotel, tasty, filling & very fair priced. I would definitely go back. The not so awesome: If it matters to you, there did not seem to be any Japanese workers in the front or back of house. Karage was good & plentiful, but lacked skin. The butabara was huge (great value, but not really bite sized pieces). Rice is a complement to all the other dishes served in an Izakaya. It should, therefore, be brought out with the first round of dishes. On two occassions, I had to get up to request service from our server, who was busy playing with her phone. That should never happen! &, that was the only reason I felt a star should be deducted.
Très bon Izakaya, le seul bémol était que l'okonomyaki était trop cuite & un peu sèche, mais à part celà tout le reste était très bon !! & les ramens étaient vraiment délicieux avec des gros morceaux de porc !!
I enjoyed how the ramen had corn. Vegetarian options were clearly marked, but hard to tell which ones were vegan. Was told the kimchi ramen was not vegan, grateful the staff warned us. I think the broth could be more flavorful. Another person in our party loved the broth & thought it was great as is. There were no windows in the restaurant so felt a little stuffy atmosphere wise.

There were so many food items on the menu that it was hard to choose from. The ramen flavor was above average. The quality of the food was not bad, either. The restaurant had three employees, but we had to wait to ask for additional orders, even though there were only four tables with customers.
One of the good point is they are open on Sundays.
Great place to hangout & grab small tapas style portions. Everything was pretty tasty except for the Ramen. They were very nice though in that we wanted to order one to share & they actually prepared them in 2 small individual bowls.
Happy hour draft beer was on with buy 1 get 1 free so we ended up having quite a good time pairing that with a bottle of Soju.

I got the tonkatsu ramen, & I will say it is better than all of the ramen I tried in Japan. If you are coming to Quebec City, this 150% needs to be on your list.
Been wanting to go here for a while. The atmosphere was good at first. Everything was clean, tidy & gives off the ramen atmosphere you'd expect. The only thing I was disappointed was the smell in the bathroom. I felt that it had not been cleaned for hours.
The service speed was alright. We did not have to wait that long to be served. The food came in not that long after we ordered. The beef skewers (i forgot what this was actually called) was super good & flavorful.
The ramen though was really lacking freshness. The flavor was good but it doesn't really stand out for me. The chicken was a bit tough & bland as well.
Price to service/food quality I think for me was not worth it. Might go back again for their appetizers but not really for the ramen.

A good spot to get a warm & tasty meal in the middle of winter. Ramen broth was good, noodles were chewy, the pork had a tiny bit of after taste. The takoyaki & karaage were quite good - hot & delicious. The place was clean & inviting. No complaints with the service. Definitely a good place to have a filling meal.
I ordered two Tonkatsu ramen & one seafood ramen through Uber. The app clearly said I would receive free Dragon Eyes rolls, but they were missing from my order.
On top of that, the Tonkatsu ramen was missing the eggs.
I called the restaurant to ask about it, & the person who answered literally said'I don't know.' That response is completely unacceptable & extremely irresponsible. How can a restaurant not know what they send out to customers?
This was a frustrating & disappointing experience from start to finish. I paid full price & did not receive what I ordered or what was promised, strongly recommend avoiding this restaurant.
Nice ramen spot. Good atmosphere & service to match. We had an assortment of dishes & enjoyed them all. The prices are also very competitive for the quality of food, service, & atmosphere in QC. I would highly reccomend to anyone wanting a nice dinner at a very reasonable price point.
