We decided to stop by this cute town of Rimouski & while we were researching Narval came up as one of the best restaurants here. It was also recommended by our Airbnb host as a place that uses local ingredients. I was lucky to get a reservation due to some last minute cancellation. At the restaurant, the chef (I believe it was the chef) came over to say that "looks like you were able to get a reservation" bc I had put my name on the waiting list. So do no that if you want to drink alcohol here that it's Bring Your Own Wine. The staff wasn't sure if we knew since we weren't locals & I think the chef offered us beer that he got for us. That was so nice but my husband didn't want to drink as he wanted to make sure he would be okay to drive & then make sure I'm ok because of my injured foot he declined. But we hope they were not offended. We had really appreciated the gesture!

Now on to the food. It was AMAZING & so delicious! The presentation was absolutely beautiful. The flavors were well balanced. The food was very fresh. We even tried the snails -- that was interesting :) My husband has eaten snails before but it was my first time.

The staff was very friendly :)

Une expérience gastronomique unique! Tous les plats étaient savoureux, dignes d'un grand chef. Belle ambiance intime, le service aux tables excellent. Bref, c'est à refaire sans hésiter.

Le chef a beaucoup de créativité. Le mélange des saveurs du terroir est excellent. De plus, les plats sont très bien présentés.
