Superbe endroit pour une escapade à La Malbaie ! Auberge chaleureuse, personnel attentionné, chambre hyper confortable . Excellente table raffinée, le décor, le foyer, la présentation des plats , la qualité des ingrédients . Un petit cocktail chez son voisin l'Ile Mystérieuse ajoute à l'expérience ! Nous reviendrons encore Chez Truchon ! .

Truchon the Bistro is always a destination when we revisit La Malbaie (for the 20th time?). A reservation is well advised. On the day, the welcome is always with a smile & good attention is given to the choice of table, if available (terrace or inside a beautifully preserved house). The breakfast menu is typically Charlevoix & prepared with great attention to taste & looks. Service is by genuine locals, well informed of the customs of the restaurant & representing the region. Breakfast is said to be the most important meal of the day: do it at Truchon!

On m'avait référé ce restaurant à découvrir à la Malbaie & je peux vous dire que je n'ai pas été déçu. Le service était excellent, un grand merci à Renée. La nourriture parfaitement assemblé dans mon assiette. Un bravo à toutes l'équipe, autant en salle qu'en cuisine.

My husband & I enjoyed our meal tremendously at Chez Truchon. Our waiter, Francois, was extremely attentive & personable. He explained the menu well but also gave us some tips on the area of La Malbaie. The food was beautifully plated & delicious. My husband had duck & I had the fish of the day which was a thick, perfectly cooked piece of halibut. I also had the French onion soup. In general, I don't love French onion soup but being in Canada, I thought I should go for it. It was the best I have ever had. It was not overly rich nor did it have a thick layer of cheese crusting on the broth. Instead, it was presented with a piece of bread encrusted with cheese that was laid across the top of the bowl. The dessert was sublime.

Excellent restaurant! Le personnel est agréable & efficace. Les plats sont délicats & savoureux. Nous y avons soupé 2 soirs consécutifs tellement c'était bon. Les prix sont raisonnables compte tenu de la haute qualité du menu. Ambiance calme & chaleureuse. Le poisson était excellent & les frites dans le gras de canard aussi. On y retourne sans faute à notre prochain passage à la Malbaie pour essayer les déjeuners. Merci!

Nous avons visité le bistro en couple pour une petit souper de la Saint-Valentin. La table d'hôte était excellente, tout comme le service qui était rapide & attentionné. Certainement le plus sophistiqué des restos que nous avons fréquentés à La Malbaie!
