The lower old town location was very close to our Airbnb & they became our breakfast & dessert standard! Pastries were delicious & fresh. Staff was helpful. Highly recommend the ham, cheese & egg croissant! Sweet pastries, especially with fresh berries were also a favorite for us. Came back from Ile d'Orleans one day with fresh cheese & decided to just make cheese, baguettes & wine our dinner, so we headed straight to Paillard, but they were closed so got our baguettes next door at the cafe just below Paillard (in case you need a back up!).

Un de mes arrêts obligatoires lorsque je vais dans le Vieux-Québec.
Un peu dispendieux, mais j'adore leurs viennoiseries, desserts, cafés & sandwiches. J'aime la terrasse aussi, directe sur la rue Saint-Jean.

I had breakfast at Paillard , a few times & the experience was excellent. Their croissants & macarons are a must-try! The food quality remains consistently great no matter how crowded the café gets. The staff were very friendly & helpful in guiding me through the menu, even though I don't speak French. Highly recommended for breakfast & pastries!

I was in Quebec City for a couple of days & visited this beautiful café a few times during my stay. The food was delicious, & I really enjoyed eating here. Their Croissant Matin breakfast combo was amazing, & they have a great variety of baked goods. The macarons & croissants are definitely worth trying! Even when the café was very busy, the food quality & consistency remained excellent. The staff were friendly, efficient, & welcoming. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Quebec City *****

Repas style méditerranéen dans un décor & arrangement Européen

La soupe aux champignons est très bonne. La salade grecque est délicieuse, c'est ce que je prends chaque fois

Le croque matin qui comprend un oeuf aussi est savoureux avec légumes & fromage

Le café est très bon & leurs parisseries comme dessert sont presque un péché

Quand nous allons à Québec on y arrête toujours

Malheureusement, malgré la qualité du produit, l'expérience de service a été décevante. Nous avons attendu 22 minutes avant que ma fougasse aux olives & feta soit simplement réchauffée. Pendant ce temps, le café qui accompagnait la commande a eu le temps de refroidir avant même que nous soyons servis. Nous avons même vu tout le rush se terminer derrière nous avant de recevoir notre commande. C'est très ordinaire comme service.

Chanced upon this cafe in our stroll in the old quarter of Quebec City. So glad we tried their pastries. So satisfying with lots of variety to try from sweet to savoury kind. The coffee is great too.
