J'ai commandé un sandwich chaud &, ils ont jetés le bon de ma commande ! Plein de mondes sont passés avant moi ! Pas d'excuse rien de leurs part!!! Attrape à touristes

J'y suis retourner pour voir si le service c'était amélioré, & malheureusement c'est vraiment une place de merde! Ils ne surveille pas qui est arrivé avant, ils laissent passer des gens qui ne respectent pas la ligne d'attente. La pire place à Québec pour le service & le prix !

Pastries are substantially better at a grocery store. Inside looks like a fast food. Staff barely speak English. Prices are high but that's expected considering the location. The reviews above 4 stars are deceiving, unless there was a recent dramatic negative change recently. It is not crowded, but most probably because they don't get repeated customers. Going there is a one time negative experience.

Hopefully management will make substantial adjustments. The location has great potential that is currently misused.

What happened to Paillard? Five years ago I stopped here & had the best croissant & egg breakfast. In fact, I returned three times. Today in August 2026 the croissant tasted like hamburger buns. The breakfast sandwich was dripping in unrecognizable sauce instead of butter. Paillard has fallen to the level of a fast food restaurant. Look at the difference in what was promised & what I received. Fresh fruit from a can ! big disappointment.

What an absolute disappointment. I walked there from the hotel in hopes of having a great first morning in Quebec City & gave this place a chance based on their 4.2-star review, which I have to say seems like a complete scam. First of all, the waiter got my order incorrectly. He gave me a brioche cannel instead of a cannelé, but unfortunately, I didn't notice until I came back to the hotel.

Please note that the coffee photos have been taken before we even took a sip. Clearly not full.

I ordered two hot drinks, one pistachio latte & one hot cappuccino. I asked if he could make the cappuccino extra hot & he said it's a machine so basically no. I also noticed that he was not making a hot latte & was instead making one of their fancy cold latte drinks. I felt bad & didn't correct him, but for $10 for a really crappy drink, I wish I had.

The pastries seemed like they were day old & the coffee was half-full & incorrect, which now I really regret not fixing. This place is a complete flop & only surviving because of its location.

Do not go & thank me for it later. Don't be fooled by the 6,000 reviews, which are either people who have never been to an actual French bakery or people who are getting paid to leave such reviews.

Give this one a skip. Tourist trap! Almond croissant was soggy & cheese & ham croissant was very average. The cold drinks (matcha or espresso iced lattes) are extremely overpriced & not good at all. Rather go to Maison Smith

We just got croissants from them & they are soggy…the almond croissant was cold so probably refrigerated overnight. We went early so there is no excuse for this.
