I was here around 8 in the morning & there was no line & plenty of seating available. It got busy quickly though. I had the croissant breakfast sandwich combo & enjoyed it, though I don't think there was anything extra special about the croissant here, perhaps it was not newly made in that morning. Regular coffee was included in the combo, latte was 1.80 extra. I also ordered a pastry with chocolate chips in the middle that I liked more, again it doesn't taste like it recently came out of the oven but it was nonetheless delicious.

Grand choix de viennoiseries, pains & breakfast salés & je ne parle même pas des boissons chaudes, demandez & vous aurez ! Recommandé par le routard & l'on sait pourquoi. Un bon spot pour un petit déjeuner en ville avant de visiter Québec.

The pastries are pretty good, but you need to reheat them first to soften that butter. If you eat them cold, it's super hard & dry. The drinks here are absolutely horrible. We tried 4 of them. The place is also super dirty, no one comes out to clean. Every table has crumbs & sticky stains all over, the garbage cans were overflowing with garbage, while there were constantly at least 2 employees behind the counter just chilling. Their washrooms are also super weird. You have to go up a set of stairs which probably leads you to another building. It's a super long walk.

Oooooh.. nous y sommes venu pour une collation pâtisserie sur le pouce! Je comprends bien qu'à l'heure où nous y sommes allés, la disponibilité des produits était incertaine.. quand même trouvé gluten pour mon fin palais! Le régal fut autant pour les yeux, le nez & les papilles! Merci!

This place has become an institution in Quebec City & I've always enjoyed visiting every time I come here. Sadly, after visiting this week it seems like it took a nose dive :-( The place was a mess. Dirty tables & chairs thrown around everywhere & garbage area was flooding with waste. It looked like they haven't cleaned the shop the whole day. There was a huge line up to order that moved very slowly. The place was clearly understaffed & the staff working didn't seem to care. The pastry I ordered was dry & cold & the warm drinks we ordered were ordinary tea & hot chocolate that was hugely marked up. As a business when people still show up to you in droves like that, you should take treat that as a blessing & go out of your way to keep their business not take them for granted like that. Huge fail.
