My boyfriend & I did the 7 courses last night with wine pairing (him) & non alcoholic pairing (me). The service was impeccable & the food was fantastic. Great value for the price. Also I am gluten free & was able to eat everything on the menu. My only feedback would be that we got quite full with the 7 courses & the mocktails were full drink sizes which is a lot to consume. But I highly recommend this & consider it one of the best, if not the best, restaurants in Québec City.
February 15th, visit #2 - three years after our last. Still the highlight of our trip to Quebec!! We had a six course menu - completely different & as awesome & amazing as our last one :) Pictures don't do it justice. These guys are geniuses. Each dish must have required extensive experimentation to deliver unique combinations of flavors, colors, & textures.
January 9th, 2022. The highlight of our trip to Quebec & alone worth (multiple) repeat visits to the city. This is a place for food lovers. The high priest of the kitchen came out to introduce every dish. We went through the entire menu & repeated the dessert. The veggie section delighted even the hardcore meat lovers. Drinks were equally amazing. Incredible creativity. Keep in mind that the setting is very simple, it's not a fancy looking place. The service & the atmosphere were amazing. Can't thank them enough. It is a tiny place & reservations are needed.
We were delighted with our experience here! Food, service, & drinks (wine & cocktails) were 10 out of 10! A culinary experience to remember. Didn't feel rushed. Very enjoyable all around. The food was top notch! Server was awesome - Super personable & added to the experience!

We did 1 regular & 1 Vegetarian tasting & it was a great experience start to finish. Drinks were great as well. Expect the experience to take 2.5+ hrs, enjoy!
Truly a great experience! Make sure you book. Sinsemilla has the concept where they have a set 5-course-menu, which seems to be changed every month. Sam & his colleague are the only two who work & manage Sinsemilla, so you have to keep in mind that they are 2 to manage a small restaurant with about 30 seats where they serve a 5-course-menu & take the time to explain what is being served. When we arrived, Sam very nicely greeted us. One could feel that he is passionate about what he does & is happy to share their creations. As we sat down, we were given the menus & Sam made sure we had all questions aside before deciding what to order. They have a small à-la-carte selection but personally I would stick to the menu if you are a curious eater who likes to try out new things. We also opted for the drink-set. Each course is accompagnied by a wine of Sam & the chef's choice. As the dishes arrived one by one, Sam explained to us what every piece in the dish was & served the paired wine, for which he also offered an explenatiom if why they went for that specific wine. We were in for a treat! Each dish was unique in its own way. Flavours, textures & aesthetics were all lovely. The wines really enhanced the flavours of the dishes & vice versa, so we were happy we ordered their drinks-pairing. To be honest, I could write pages of how good & new the 5-course-menu was. A true culinary journey, led by Sam. He really made our night. If we really wanted to pick on a few items: 1. The cutlery was a bit cheap, I think they could probably upgrade to some more "classy" cutlery, despite the very chill atmosphere. They didn't change cutlery between each dish. Considering they are just 2, I think it's fine. 2. Different wines were served in the same glasses (except red & white). But again, considering they are 2 managing about 30 customers, that's really a small detail that doesn't take away how exceptional we thought Sinsemilla is. If you are in Québec, don't miss a chance to come here & have a culinary journey.
Longue vie Sinsemilla !
We came in on a Saturday evening & the restaurant was full. We were helped right away & got a cozy table by the window. The owner Sam was helping us & gave great advice on the menu. We chose one seafood one vegetable & one meat dish to share, jt was enough for us but could see doing another two dishes when hungry. The scallops were the best I have ever eaten with a wonderful sauce. Then came the mushroom risotto which was so packed with flavour & textures it might be my favourite dish ever & we have been to Michelin restaurants. The final dish was a guinea fowl which again knocked it out of the park. We tried to book another night here as the food was so good, not no luck as they are closed the other days we are here. We asked Sam where we should go as he was not open & had a great recommendation. We love this place. Open, honest service with top end food. The drinks were also delicious to complement the food.
Awesome atmosphere, very friendly & passionate staff. Felt like a very unique experience. Great food, & great drink recommendations to pair with the food ordered.
